# Owner notes — Cedar & Slate Flooring

CONTROLLED SYNTHETIC DEMONSTRATION. Fictional company and people. Scripted by the demonstration operator; not customer evidence.

Maya Chen, fictional owner — September 8, 2026

We install engineered wood and laminate flooring in occupied homes around the San Gabriel Valley. We have been operating for two years in this scenario. There are six of us: me, Nina in the office, and two two-person installation crews. Owen leads the North crew with Lena; Jules leads the South crew with Amir. They are employees in this example, not subcontractors.

Homeowners ask for an estimate through a referral or our contact form. I visit, measure and prepare a written job-specific scope and price. The homeowner accepts that scope before Nina schedules a visit and coordinates materials. We charge by an agreed project quote; I am not supplying price amounts or margin information for this demonstration.

I want the accepted work, open decisions and who can approve a change to be easier to find before a crew visit. Nina's job notes, my changes and an old crew guide don't all say the same thing. We are documenting current practice, not redesigning it.

Use only these four selected demonstration files: this owner orientation, the CS-104 office note, the old crew guide and the supplier note. They contain no actual customer or employee information. Do not inspect accounts, other folders or public company sources. I choose to keep copies here so the evidence travels with the demonstration. No external research. Keep the normal ask-before-each SOP preference; I am not asking for an SOP.

This source establishes the fictional scenario. It does not independently validate an operating business, current practice, revenue, demand or outcomes.
